Climate adaptation, urban resilience, and science-informed planning are becoming central priorities for cities worldwide.
Researchers, institutions, and international organizations will gather on 3 June 2026 at the Department of Architecture of the University of Naples Federico II for the international conference “Climate Change and Cities: Bringing Science into Action”, organized by the UCCRN European Hub in collaboration with the University of Naples Federico II and Université Gustave Eiffel.
The event will feature international keynote speakers and experts from academia, institutions, and global networks.
The programme includes keynote lectures, round tables and interdisciplinary discussions designed to strengthen the dialogue between research, local authorities and urban practitioners.
📖 A central focus of the conference will be the presentation and discussion of the UCCRN Third Assessment Report on Climate Change and Cities (ARC3.3) — one of the leading international scientific assessments addressing climate change impacts on cities and pathways for urban climate-resilient development.
Participants will also get insights from ongoing initiatives and case studies at European and global level through sessions dedicated to:
• UCCRN Case Study Atlas and Urban Design Climate Workshops
• Strategic partenships and global collaboration
• Academic partenships for research and education
