Massive clouds of smoke containing wildfire emission affect large areas of Canada, the amount of smoke and soot particles in the air in Canada is now so great that breathing it in poses a health risk.
Based on FLEXPART calculations used for healthRiskADAPT’s forecasting system, NILU scientists Sabine Eckhardt and Nikolaos Evangeliou found that Canadian wildfire emission is now heading towards Europe, and will reach Europe in hours.
